Benefits to Intern:
This internship will provide an opportunity to learn firsthand about UNICEF’s work in contexts affected by conflict and disasters with exposure to the organization’s work at HQ level and in the field. The intern will also learn about knowledge management, knowledge exchange, as well as evidence-based programming approaches.
Duration: This will be a part time or full-time internship for a period of 3 to 6 months.
Salary/Payment:
In accordance with the internal standard operating procedure, interns are paid a stipend of US $1,500 per month for full-time work, subject to availability of funds. There is no expectancy of employment at the end of the internship. UNICEF is not responsible for obtaining any necessary visas.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
- Be enrolled in Currently enrolled in a graduate (Master’s) or undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree in the area of International Relation, Development Studies, or a related field with excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office365 Suite. Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint is desirable.
- Excellent communications skills, especially written communications, facilitation skills, and ability to interact in an international and culturally diverse environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of online publishing and communication, including social media and outreach tools.
- Experience in knowledge management projects (i.e., intranet, communities of practice, content management, etc.) desirable.
- Knowledge of international development in the context risk- and crisis prone contexts is desirable.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required, knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.
